A Concise Doctrinal Statement of Our Church
We Believe
- Authority and inspiration of the Bible: The Bible is uniquely God-breathed and is
infallible, inerrant in the original writings of all 66 books; it is the supreme and final
authority in all matters of faith and practice.
- The person and work of Jesus Christ: The Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of
GOD, was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, thus becoming the
GOD-man; He accomplished complete redemption through his perfect life and
substitute sacrifice for all who believe in him.
- The person and work of the Holy Spirit: GOD the Holy Spirit possesses all the
attributes of deity; He is the Author of the sacred Scriptures and is the supernatural
Agent in regeneration and sanctification.
- The person and work of God the Father: GOD the Father is Creator of the world
and all it contains, and is everywhere present, all-knowing and all-powerful. He
planned salvation and sent Jesus, His Son, to redeem his people. No one has the
Father as his God who disowns the Son (I John 2:23)
- Salvation: Salvation is the gift of GOD brought to sinful man by His grace, not
earned by works, and is received solely through repentance of sin and personal faith
in the Lord Jesus Christ; this salvation was ordained before the beginning of time for
his chosen people; all that the Father gives to his Son will come to faith in Christ,
and none of those who come will be lost. (John 6:37f)
